Elementary observation 3.4

This past Thursday, I got the privilege of going to the elementary school, and watch a third grade teacher.     She was really kind to her students and made sure everyone understood the assignment. Her room was decorated with math symbols and math terms, and all sorts of colors. She had cubbies for every student, the cubbies had their names on them, so nobody got confused. I liked that she had everything neat and organized, nothing was out of place. She had a unique way of making sure everyone was paying attention, she knew what their favorite foods and things, and made sure to incorporate those into the lesson.                    I would gladly go back to observe her. She knew exactly how to stop them from talking.

Puppet show in preschool 3.3

Last Thursday on the 19th, I had the privilege of going to preschool first in room 9 then in room 11, to perform a puppet show for the little children. I loved how she decorated her classroom. They were such good listeners, and they interacted with me. They were well behaved, and didn't interrupt. The teachers made sure they were respectful, and I didn't have to stop so people could stop talking. The classroom was neat and tidy, I didn't have to move anything around. After I finished my puppet show, the children got to play and paint. One little girl even made me a picture.

When I finished my first puppet show in room 9, the teacher led me to the next classroom, room 11.
I have been to room 11 before, so the children know me. When I got in there, they were sitting on the carpet.
They interacted with me when i asked questions. Their teacher made sure they were respectful. She made sure they were all paying attention and listening. I loved the reading area of the classroom, it was neat and tidy.

My favorite 100th day of school memory from middle school

My favorite memory from middle school 100 day of school, is when we put on shirts with 100 of something of it on it.

We would also sometimes dress up as old people, making sure we looked like we were 100. We would have parties with 100 of every food.

I think it was so fun, and I wish I could go back to it.

My word for 2026

 Bravery

My word for 2026 is Bravery, everyone eventually needs to be brave.

The word bravery to me means, that you overcome what you thought you'd never overcome.

In 2026 I think this word will help me in my house hold.

In 2026 I hope to be braver than I have been in the past.

100 day of school

In my intro to education class we are preparing for the 100th day of school.

When I was younger and the 100th day of school came along, we would either dress up as really old people, or we would get shirts and glue 100 or something, it could be anything from little fuzzy pom poms, to beans, onto the shirt and wear it to school.

Everyone took pictures and had a fun time, there were lots of activities that involved using 100 of something.

I think we should do something like that for the 100th day of school, I feel like that would be really fun.

I miss dressing up for things like that.

2.1 mini-teach highlight

Recently in our Intro to Education class, we were given the opportunity to make a mini lesson on a recent holiday. I chose to do Halloween, my curriculum was Art, and my grade was 4th, we presented to each other.

I chose monster hands. I loved being able to look and find creative things to do.  Because I was able to see my classmates make little adorable monster hands

I had so much fun watching them trace their hands, and decorate their hands. They all looked so creative, and I wish I could have done it for a real class, to see how creative they could be.

Seeing them be creative made me excited to become a real teacher. I would love to have my own class that I get to watch and make all sorts of crazy things.
